About us
Kung Fu Slipper was formed in the summer of 2017 by a group of musicians with a shared passion for exploring musical ideas through improvisation and experimentation.
The shows are entirely improvised, and each time the band gets up on stage they aim to inspire each other to create something new, in the moment.
Their sound is infused with elements of jazz, funk, Afrobeat, dance & electronic music and many other diverse influences.

Kung Fu Slipper has supported a number of world class acts including the James Taylor Quartet, Sugar Hill Gang and Pharoahe Monch.
Kung Fu Slipper has appeared at numerous local festivals and music events including the Rye International Jazz & Blues Festival, Tonbridge Calling, Unfest and Local and Live.
With the ability to adapt their musical performance to any occasion, Kung Fu Slipper has played at many private functions from birthday parties to weddings.
